Knowledge Keeper Tracey Whiteye presents The Impact of Residential Schools, the story of an Indigenous woman, second-generation residential school Survivor who has fought to regain her culture and language through the healing of Indigenous ways of knowing.
Tracey, whose spirit name is Polar Bear Woman Who is Looking Ahead from the Water, is Lenaapeew/Anishinaabe kwe and from the Elunaapeewii Lahkeewiit First Nations, also known as Delaware Nation of the Thames. Tracey has led many KAIROS Blanket Exercises, is a Master of Social Work candidate, and teaches at the Anishnaabek Education Institute, within the Social Service Worker, Native Community Worker, and Native Traditional Healing Methods programs.
