Exciting Progress Update: Phased Implementation for the Revised KBE ModelStarting in July, KAIROS commences Phase 2 of the KAIROS Blanket Exercise (KBE) rollout of the revised framework. We will begin onboarding partners who have less than five years of experience facilitating the KAIROS Blanket Exercise or have delivered the exercise only occasionally. We are implementing the revised framework in three phases to ensure thorough integration while meeting diverse needs of all our partners, including new ones. The KBE’s revision is designed to enhance its delivery, impact and sustainability. Beginning in April, KAIROS rolled out Phase 1 of its revised KBE model, which is Indigenous-led, partner-driven and administered by KAIROS. We are deeply grateful to the long-standing partners who participated in these information sessions. We are currently processing cooperation or partnership agreements for Phase 1 partners. Phase 2 aims to support and strengthen these partners and their facilitation teams, ensuring they have the necessary skills, training and confidence to lead impactful KBE sessions with the care and sensitivity it deserves. This is an opportunity for Phase 2 partners to engage new facilitators. KAIROS will provide facilitator training and tailored support to help enhance the overall quality and consistency in the KBE’s delivery. Although these partners have access to all required KAIROS Blanket Exercise materials, we recognize the immense value of comprehensive training, particularly for new facilitators, to well-equip them to deliver powerful and transformative KBEs. Our training sessions will focus on enhancing facilitation techniques, developing strategies to engage participants meaningfully, and handling challenging conversations with care and sensitivity. The KBE team is working hard to identify partners to invite to the Phase 2 Information Sessions. We are thrilled to embark on this next phase of our journey and are deeply grateful for the ongoing support and dedication of our partners and community members. Our collective efforts are vital in promoting reconciliation and understanding, and we are confident that this revised framework will significantly contribute to these goals. If you have any questions or would like more information about the revised model, please do not hesitate to contact us at kbe@kairoscanada.org. Thank you for your continued commitment to this critically important work. With humility and gratitude, The KBE Team |
