KAIROS Women of Courage partners weigh in on the 65th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women, March 15-26.

KAIROS joined 40 Canadian civil society organizations in signing an open letter to the Prime Minister calling for greater action on vaccine equity. The letter urges Canada to endorse a proposal at the World Trade Organization to make COVID-related vaccines, treatments, and technologies more affordable and readily available for all countries.   

In its first report, released on March 16, Investigate PH warns of intensified political repression in the Philippines since the summer, fueled by the recently enacted Anti-Terrorism Act, and the brutal implementation of a National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict.

KAIROS was among 65 organizations in Canada - including churches, trade unions and Filipino associations - that sent an open letter calling on the Prime Minister to publicly condemn the killings of human rights defenders in the Philippines. You are encouraged to sign the open letter too!

The theme of World Water Day 2021 (March 22) was valuing water, affirming that water has enormous and complex value for our households, food, culture, health, education, economics, and the integrity of our natural environment. 

Join KAIROS and For the Love of Creation partners during Earth Week for a series of events to nourish, learn, and inspire our care of Creation. On Earth Sunday, April 18, we’ll gather online in a contemplative space with music, prayer and meditation. On Earth Day, April 22, we’ll celebrate the first anniversary of For the Love of Creation and gather to discern our gifts for taking climate action during this crucial decade.

KAIROS is seeking a dedicated, highly organized, relational, Global Partnerships Coordinator who will work with the partnership team, other KAIROS staff, and global partners to coordinate and support KAIROS’ Africa partnerships programs, cross-cutting issues of climate change and global partnerships, and overall monitoring and evaluation reporting. KAIROS BC-Yukon was engaged in exciting, faith-full actions during Lent – from Indigenous learning to action against large-scale energy projects that endanger Indigenous, local, and global communities.  

Led by Indigenous presenters with extensive experience facilitating the KAIROS Blanket Exercise, these 2-hour interactive Zoom-based sessions aim to build positive relations between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people through truth, sharing, and open dialogue. Fee: $25. Upcoming sessions:

Since its launch in January, the virtual KAIROS Blanket Exercise (vKBE) has enjoyed a strong start with more than 70 bookings and 1,750 participants to date! There is no sign of demand slowing down any time soon. Currently, we are booking into July.
